New Forum Administrator
Firstly, congratulations to Keith who on 22nd November became a Forum Administrator. He replaces Morphboy who decided to resign from this position as he felt he had nothing more to offer as an Administrator. Keith has been with martin2k since 2002 and has been a moderator for the Visual Basic forum for most of this time.
On Wednesday the first season of the TV series Heroes ended on BBC Two. For me it has been one of the best TV series I have ever seen. The last two episodes were spectacular. I am definitely looking forward to season two - it will be interesting for me to see if Peter and Nathan Petrelli survived. Also, what will happen to Hiro in 17th century Japan?
The wheels for my car did turn up did turn up on 19th November as promised, however one of the tyres was bigger than the rest and one of the rims was not sealing with the tyre properly. To get two new tyres and to fix the wheel cost about £230, which is not ideal. However I now have them on my car and everything is fine, except that it isn't. The wheels are actually heavier than the bigger 17" wheels they replaced. Getting lighter wheels was my main reason for getting rid of the 17" ones. Therefore once I have sold the 17" wheels (which did not sell when I first listed them on eBay recently), I will be selling the new ones, unfortunately.
TWAIN for NoteBook
I did find another TWAIN ActiveX control for NoteBook, however it seems to have the same problem that the current DLL file has. I have sent Viscomsoft, the creator of the control, an e-mail and hopefully they will look into it. If the problem is with the actual TWAIN source causing the problem ('HP Scanjet 2400 TWAIN') then I will continue with the current DLL file I am using, otherwise I will buy Viscomsoft's control.
