Granted, I've always had problems with sound. BUT. I ordered that new mic, and I'm going to check it's tracking and see where it's at. I've been wanting to improve my sound for AGEEEES, but I lacked the equipment.

Lighting is also an issue and a half. You know what the hardest part about editing the clones in, is? It's their shadows. That makes the difference between 5 minutes and 5 hours in editing a scene, depending hour difficult the shadows are. I stress optimum lighting, and I have two strong umbrella lights that have worked wonders for me.

The distance between videos is my biggest pet peeve. I really do try to keep them closer together, but I'm so busy with school and work, finding time to go shoot and edit becomes quite the challenge. My other problem is that I'm trying to make a variety of videos, because while people like the clones and find it all entertaining, I'd hate to burn that joke out.

LOVED it, Eric. The camera work and effects were sick and the storyline was very gripping. I can imagine this being made into a feature film. The dialogue at the table flowed extremely well and didn't get stale... very nice work, pal. And the whole thing didn't feel like 7 minutes - it was very well directed. Great mix of setting the scene, dialogue and action.

That bit cracked me up. Perfect timing when the camera cuts to Clone 4's view. Your comedy was spot on this video. Very funny indeed.

I love the cameo from Isaak at the end. Can't wait for the next one.

Yeah mate I totally understand, thats why I said you can't help it :/ it's a shame cos I imagine if you could bang out a new video every couple of weeks you'd be able to grap a far bigger following!

The comedy was spot on as Alex said though that upside down 4 was a great joke ;D

Thank so much! I actually came up with the upside four joke in only a minute, I needed something snarky to say, and that was the perfect line. haha

I do feel the conversation had one or two spots that had just too long of a pause, or cut away too quick. I'm working a bit more on scene flow.
I spend so much time editing one continuous bit of footage, that I don't spend enough time learning how to stitch them all together effectively.
I hope you're not having me on like a Kebab when you say how much you like the comedy. I thought it was alright, I didn't think people got most of my jokes in there, but they did find the package scene ridiculously funny. haha

I actually worried 7 minutes seemed kinda long, other than my Chicago video this one is the longest running one.

And I think I could make a video every other week, if I REALLY step shit up. I'm tired of having MONTHS inbetween my videos.
Look at it! July, November, and then January. Shameful!

I genuinely found it laugh out loud funny. The whole thing just worked so well for me.The concept of clones is simple enough I guess, but you act it out very well and I thought the editing was great.

I'm so glad you get a kick out of it.
I've been really inactive with the videos as of late. Classwork is driving me insane.
But I am trying my best to keep things going.

I have a friend coming down to visit again to help with one of my major videos, and I'm stoked for that.
Got some other ones on the back burner, I just need a little more free time. Perhaps I should take the time to write out some more detailed scripts.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys.
I've been wanting to stop by on here for ages, but I felt like any free time I had should be spent on my projects, as the semester is starting to wind to a close.

I've been taking pictures and shooting video for actual production on my projects as well as a lot of behind the scenes stuff. Hopefully soon I can find a decent medium to sharing my stuff on so you guys can see everything I've been working on and the little things that hardly ever get to be shared, like the jokes and funny moments in filming.
Have patience, fels. PLUS, my next video should be coming out fairly soon...hopefully before July, otherwise I'm screwed.

Mate I really enjoyed it I think the girl was pretty convincing over all, looks like it would have been fun to make the episode. I do think the personalities of the clones could of been shown a little more I think 4 was still up to his usual stupidity and 2/3 were constantly pulling little tricks to mess with you but 2/3 were just like annoying clones! However this isn't actually criticism it's just an observation i'm sure you're more than aware of all of this considering you shot the damn thing!

Im not much of a critic I generally enjoyed it i'll have to re-watch it when I have time to see if I can give you anything more constructive rather than just praise haha

I totally understand the personalities issue. A couple others mentioned it, even Morphy. haha
I think I'm getting better at selling 4, without being too over the top. I'm just trying to take it one step at a time, perhaps show a bit of progressive evolution?
Either way, as long as people can identify that they certainly are annoying, then I think I'm on the right track.
I really want 2 to be a bit more aggressive and/or act like a typical guy. Macho, sports freak, loves bacon, agitated easily... things of that sort, but without going too far and really starting to deviate from my own personality. These guys are essentially full embodiments of sections of my personality and amplified to a high degree.

I want to make 3 more sarcastic and comical, but kind of like how an insult-comic would act. "Oh, nice hair-piece, dude. You can't even see the tread marks." haha

And it's fine that you're not a critic, because if you were..I think you would be looking too closely at the videos and picking apart simple things like subtle continuity errors or delve even deeper and contemplate the whole symbolism of the video series and how it conflicts with itself or something. That kind of critiquing is useful at times but that's not something everybody looks at and notices.

When I get feedback from regular everyday people, and they form a pattern of observations like the need to improve the personalities of the Clones, then I can be certain this is something most likely EVERYONE would notice, and prompt me to address first and foremost.

These are highly effective bits of feedback that allow me notice something that needed to be fixed, without the observer being ridiculous.

If a person were to be like "omg dude this is rele bad, liek how cud she not notice the clons wer switching places on the couch. Dey obv were wearing diff colored shirts. is she stoopud or somethin?"

These people have no right to offer criticism, as they are just complaining about the way the video is. It's a farce, and the effects of the storyline play out to benefit the comedy, not the practicality of the how the world works. It's fiction and can be stretched, you know?
