Meh, since I'm stuck in Wales over Easter, I thought I'd make a start on my site. All I've done so far is the header, footer and navigation using purely HTML and CSS. Constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Damn. XD
I can't compete with the Jag.

Pretty sweet design, I love the big modern buttons and the glassy look of everything.
The spectral colors are different to me. It looks very nice and colorful, but maybe it's too much color?
I love it so far. :D

And I also thought the URL said "matty the wafer" hahaha

How about a 90% pagewidth? with a grayish background with some sort of pattern?

I defiantly like the new look.

I'll be keeping an eye on this topic =)

I only decided on this new navigation just before... the links were going to be tabs with smaller, white icons. But I made the main content area wider (from 750px to 900px), so the old tabs didn't really fit too well.

I really hate % widths. It's more difficult for page design and layout of content as opposed to a fixed width. I like the pattern idea for the background, maybe a very subtle recurring pattern of some kind, not sure.

Well, I'm dedicating a few days from now to just building my site and building my new PC (when the parts arrive dammit >.<)... so if you want me to check the ACP out for a bit then I will, but as I say, after the next week I don't think I'll find the time to fully commit.

Oh and John, what do you think of the new navigation? I showed you the old tabs didn't I?

The glassy look reminds me of my mods to my iPod.

I would love to design a site with this style, maybe with a bit of blue or green for color, but mostly black and white. :)

Based on what you've said about the glassy-look, Eric... I've added four little links.

I think designing anything, whether it's phone GUIs or websites, are follow this look at the moment. It's nice :)

I don't like the navigation buttons. They should be more like the social share buttons beneath the navigation panel.

I think a translucent white actually may be effective.
But maybe not as bright as the social share buttons?

I like how the colorize as you mouse over them.
