martin2k Command - Home
martin2k Command is a command line interface program, in which you can be part of
the development (see below).
martin2k Command started development in 2005. The
main reason I started the program was because I wanted a way of safely (i.e.
while driving) playing
music from my laptop in my car. With just a few keystrokes, playlists can
be created and played - even without looking at the laptop's screen or keyboard.
I then thought it would be a good idea to add more functions to the program
so that it could be used for other purposes including general commands and batch
capability (see below).
The main features
include:
General Commands
The General commands include:
- clipboard - view and set clipboard text
- cmd - execute the Windows XP command interpreter's
commands and displays the output on the screen
- filedel - deletes a file
- fileinfo - displays information about a
specific file
- fileren - renames a file
- filesearch - searches for files
- openurl - displays HTML source from the URL
specified
- run - runs any program or file
- set - binds custom commands to actual commands
- showfile - displays the ASCII contents of a
file
- url2text - extracts and displays text from the HTML source
from the URL specified
Keep Track (music playing)
support
Playlists can be created by searching a
Keep Track database. Artists,
tracks and batches (Keep Track) can be searched. Lyrics can be displayed (if they are
in the database). Playlists can be sorted randomly.
'Fading' transition between tracks.
martin2k Command Batch files
Currently it is only possible to play sounds and videos
and draw blocks, boxes, circles,
lines, pixels, and text
on the screen. Any command can be timed to execute at
a specific time after the batch file has started running.
I will be adding more features in time.
Visit the Features section to read more about the
above information. Visit the How to Use section
for instructions on how to use the program and how it can be used in a car.
