NoteBook has the ability to import JPEG images into your NoteBook files via the Scanner/Camera Image (TWAIN) dialog box. This means that any devices that are compatible with the TWAIN interface i.e. scanners and webcams can be accessed allowing you to capture images using them.
Please note this feature may not be compatible with all TWAIN sources.
When the dialog is first accessed, only the 'Acquire/Open Image' section is available in which you can either acquire an image using the TWAIN interface, or you can open an image using the 'Open...' button.

If you want to acquire an image using TWAIN, you first need to select the source (the hardware device) using the 'Select Source...' button:

Once selected, you can now click on the 'Acquire Image...' button to access the dialog box associated with the device selected, which may look like this:

You will not need to access the 'Select Source' dialog box again unless you want to change the source. Having acquired the image, it will appear in the preview area on the left of the dialog box:

In the 'Image Options' section, you can now adjust the quality (a higher number will result in a larger file), the Sub sampling and whether the image is saved as greyscale. There also four buttons in this section, which do the following:
Once you set the options for your image, you can either click on the 'Add into NoteBook' button to add the image as a page, or you can click on the 'Save As...' button to save the image as a JPEG file. When clicking on the 'Add into NoteBook' button, the page will automatically select itself allowing you to view it.
