Editor's Review
As many will know, Flug the Slug was the brainchild of John Fotios (known on
the Forum as Hoj and here as MASTER HOJ). Flug gained
popularity on the Forum following the release of John's first Flug game -
Flug The Slug. Harry Wood, who was a Forum member himself
decided to release his own version of the game, this time using a
static
engine. The result is a very professional looking and playable game that
will appeal to any platform game fan.
The graphics are fairly basic, but they seem to fit well in the game. Much of
the sound and music has been taken from the Sonic series of games. In fact there
are many elements of Sonic (and to a lesser extent, Mario) to this game, for
example Flug destroys enemies by spinning around in the air, much like Sonic.
The gameplay is smooth, thanks to the static engine, however there are glitches.
Most notably is the fact the Flug will sometimes fall through moving platforms,
often to his death. This can be quite irritating at times. The bosses are
innovative and fun to combat. Once you complete a world, the game remembers this
meaning you can skip to the world you reached last time.
Overall, this is a great game, which will challenge even the most experienced
game players. If you liked this, you might like to try MASTER HOJ's latest Flug
games, Flug 3 and Flug Adventure,
which I believe are also based on static engines. You can read about more

when i saw flug the slug i tougt it could not be better, but flug the static slug is just much better then the firt game. I beg you continue doing Flug games I LOVE THEM!!!!!! damn i wich i could make such a good game!

The game is great but there is a problem with the gravity on most stages
Harry Wood has done an amazzing Job with Flug, I am now deciding to create another Flug game, It will be called Flug2, I have made Flug_TMS and Flug_3, but MARTIN never puts them up? anyhow. Flug The Static Slug is really good, and there are some intresting levels, Only i find the game far to hard, But i am a very simple minded person, i did invent flug after all.

This game is very good! The graphics are good quality and the game is fun. I can tell you ripped some music off Sonic Battle. Thats ok becasue i like the game.

This game is great! I like the custom graphics!
Flug is awesome...
The mighty Flug in Static form... and very well done. I love the fact that there is a use of INI's which helps alot. The graphics I love because they are all home-made (with the help of Hoj himself of course). Gameplay obviously at it's maximum because of a perfect Static Engine.
PROBABLY THE BEST GAME ON TEH LIST!!! ;D HARRY WOOD FTW!
