Making a media player in Visual Basic 6.0 is quite easy.  All you need is to have Windows Media Player installed and then use the Windows Media Player control in Visual Basic.  Once you have done this, use this code:

MediaPlayer1.FileName = "C:\WINDOWS\MEDIA\CHIMES.WAV"

Or use any other filename that Windows Media Player can use.  An example of using this control in a Visual Basic program can be found here.

i am able to pause the media file.
if i want to draw a line or a circle on the paused frame i'm unable to do that. can u help?
