On the 23rd October, Blog2k 2.3.2 was released. The most significant change is the addition of RSS feeds. As you can see at the top of this page, there is a subscribe link with an RSS logo. Having looked at a few blogs myself, I came to realise that it is the norm these days for a blog to have this feature.
Whenever someone is ready to upload their blog entry, Blog2k adds a summary of the entry to an RSS XML file, which the user then uploads with the rest of their new and updated blog files. The below screenshot shows how the RSS feed appears in Firefox:
Other updates include changes to the template files and the ability to set a title for your blog, which appears above in the window title, above the navigation menu and is used for the RSS feed. Blog2k also now comes with a stylesheet file so that a new user can get up and running immediately without having to create one of their own.
I have submitted Blog2k 2.3.2 to quite a few software listing websites. Personally, I find the marketing side of things more difficult than actually creating the software. Hopefully I can get the word out there about this, but it is a very difficult task.
